Organic is a way of living now a days. The best example can be given is that of curry leaves. These luscious green leaves are an important part of Indian cuisine and almost 95% of the Indian households will have boxes of preserved curry leaves. Along with medicinal value they impart rich flavor to the curries and cooked food. Most of the household houses their own curry leaf tree to meet their day-to-day curry leaves need, this can be termed as an example to organic farming at home. The idea is to add more greens to your diet. Color of food indeed matters!
What is Organic means?
The term organic means, together with nature. So organic is the collective term for products that are cruelty free, not covered with pesticides and eco-friendly. When we buy organic products, it means we are choosing the welfare of nature above everything else. The eco-friendly products that were readily farmed by our grandparents at home is now available in markets in packets, the irony! But it's always better to choose organic than pesticide filled products in this fast-paced society for our own sane health.

Organic food is a term that has become popular during the recent times, when studies found out the enormous amounts of pesticides in the farmed food products. Which means along with healthy food we are taking in abnormal amounts of chemicals that proves harmful for human body in a long run. If we study this carefully, our grandparents mostly used to work on their own produce at home and they used to use organic maneuver, they used to have farm and cattle whom they used to lovingly look after. Their generation seemed to have a rapport with the nature.

Organic farms create a blissful nature and a perfect eco system which is best suited for animals and humans. It creates a space where birds and bees can fly and be free. As wildlife is depleting day by day, choosing organic helps in promoting and saving it. It also enhances the quality of soil and prevents from soil erosion, pollution and promotes the growth of natural beings in soil. Organic farming is a way to improve natural pollinators which are becoming scarce on a day-to-day basis.
Organic Farming Contributes to The Planet
Earth is the only planet where all the species co-exist. Earth has bountiful of resources to satisfy the needs of all the species existing in it. But the same is exploited by the greed of humans. Around one third of the greenhouse emissions are from farming and food systems, which cannot be avoided. Organic farming ensures that soil health improves and is drought and flood resistant. It involves selecting of crops that is resistant to pests and doesn’t require any chemicals. Scientific crop rotation helps to break the pest cycle, nourishes the soil and equally healthy crop can be grown in a given climate.
It’s a high time to focus on scientific and eco-friendly crop and farming practices to ensure a healthy earth for the future generations.
